Practical Questions Before You Book a Wedding Venue on Skopelos

We are the Lemonis family, and we have been organising weddings on Skopelos since 2017. Couples planning from abroad tend to ask us the same few practical questions, so here are the answers, the way we would give them on a video call.
What time does a wedding finish?
The whole celebration finishes at 1:00 a.m. We mention it early, so that nothing comes as a surprise.
Are fireworks allowed?
No. Fireworks, sparklers and confetti are not allowed at either venue. We respect the nature and the birds of the area, and we would rather create the magic with lighting and with the setting itself.
What about the weather?
Both venues are fully open-air. Skopelos has its northern winds, strongest in July and August, and the end of September is less settled. We know how to work with all of it, and we talk through the date and the season with you on our video call.
How is the cost worked out?
Every wedding is costed on its own, depending on the date, the season, the number of guests and the menu, so we don't publish package prices. You receive one written offer that sets out exactly what is included, with no hidden charges.
Two venues, one family
The Castello sits on Mylos Square, directly beneath the walls of the Venetian castle, and Vrachos looks out from above the old port, with a wide view of the town and the sea. Each welcomes up to 200 guests, large enough for a big celebration and still personal. Many couples have their ceremony and welcome drinks at Vrachos around sunset, then move to the Castello for dinner and the party.
Planning from abroad
Most of the planning happens by video call. With every couple we hold calls to go through all the details, and before the wedding we ask you to visit Skopelos for a tasting, whenever suits you, so that the menu and the bar are chosen together, in person. We recommend arriving at least two or three days before the wedding, so that the final touches and adjustments, such as the décor, can be made together.
Tell us roughly when you are thinking of getting married and how many guests you are picturing, and we will take it from there.
