What a Wedding in Skopelos Actually Costs — and Why We Do Not Publish a Price List

What a Wedding in Skopelos Actually Costs — and Why We Do Not Publish a Price List

Almost every couple asks this in the first message, and they deserve a straight answer. Here is ours: we do not publish package prices, we are not the cheapest option on Skopelos, and we think both of those things are in your interest. Let us explain why.

Why there is no price list

A wedding at the Castello in June with sixty guests and a wedding at Vrachos in September with a hundred and forty are not the same event, and pretending they can share a price tag helps nobody. A published package either flatters the number by leaving things out, or quotes high to cover every eventuality. Both leave you doing arithmetic instead of planning a wedding.

So we do it the other way round. Tell us the date, roughly how many people, and what you are picturing. We come back with a detailed proposal for that celebration — and we will say plainly if what you want and what you have budgeted do not meet. That conversation is more useful in ten minutes than a price list is in a year.

    What actually moves the number

    • Season. July and August cost more than May and October, everywhere on the island.
    • Guest count. The single biggest factor — food, drink, seating, staff all scale with it.
    • How many days. A welcome dinner and a farewell dinner turn one evening into a weekend.
    • What you want on the table and behind the bar. This is where a celebration is genuinely felt.
    • Everything around it. Transfers, boats, photography, flowers, accommodation for your people.

How Skopelos compares with Santorini and Mykonos

Independent planner guides put a full destination wedding on Santorini at roughly €40,000–60,000, and on Mykonos at €45,000–65,000 (Big Fat Greek Day), with venue hire alone on Santorini running into thousands before anyone has eaten (Poema Weddings).

Those islands are not expensive because the sea is better. They are expensive because the whole island is priced for weddings — and your guests pay it too, in hotel rooms and flights. On Skopelos, more of your budget ends up inside your celebration rather than in the postcode. That is a real difference, and it is not the same thing as being cheap.

    On not being the cheapest

There will always be a lower quote on this island. We know, because couples show them to us. What you are choosing between is not really two numbers — it is whether, on the day, the timing holds, the food comes out right, the bar keeps up, and somebody notices the problem before you do.

We have two venues nobody else can offer you, a bar our family has run since 1992, and a team that has done this on this island for a very long time. That is what the difference in the quote buys. If someone can genuinely give you the same day for less, take it — we would.

Ready for a real number? Tell us your date and guest count and we will put together a proposal for your wedding, not a generic one. See also our full list of services.
