Castello or Vrachos? How Couples Actually Decide

Couples who reach out to us usually ask the same first question: should we celebrate at Castello or at Vrachos? Both venues are exclusively managed by our family, both host weddings from intimate elopements to large celebrations, and both are in Skopelos Town. But they offer two very different atmospheres — and this guide will help you decide.
Castello: history, stone, and candlelight
The Castello sits on Mylos Square, directly beneath the walls of the 13th-century Venetian castle that looks down over Skopelos Town. Evenings here feel timeless: fairy lights over Mylos Square, traditional tables under the night sky, and live music carrying through the old town. Castello hosts up to 200 guests and serves traditional Greek cuisine prepared in-house.
Castello is the newer of the two: we took it on in 2023, after years of hosting couples at Vrachos, precisely because we wanted to offer a second evening that felt nothing like the first.
Choose Castello if you dream of a wedding that feels rooted in history — stone walls, warm light, and the intimacy of an old-town celebration.
Vrachos: the evening light over the Aegean
Vrachos is our cliffside venue above the old port, with unobstructed 240-degree views of the Aegean Sea. It is, quite simply, the best place we know to be as the evening comes in. Vrachos hosts up to 200 guests, has a premium cocktail bar, and a 150-square-metre terrace where ceremonies take place as the sky turns rose and gold.
Choose Vrachos if your vision is sea, sky, and golden hour — a modern island celebration with cocktails at sunset and dancing under the stars.
